Submetering and Billing
Do you honestly know when you use most of your electricity? Do you know where you’re using it? Do you know how much certain pieces of equipment are costing you each year? If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it. Thus energy utilization and renewable energy generation is metered at the circuit breaker level to provide a complete energy picture. With this level of detail you will be able to accurately bill tenants or departments for their actual energy usage rather than bill based off of square footage. Double bottom line bills can be generated showing the hard dollar cost as well as the environmental impact. If you have a power purchase agreement (PPA) with people, then you can use this to bill them for the renewable energy used. Shared circuits can also be split between tenants for common use areas on a percentage basis.

If one is to have a successful sustainability or conservation project, fundamentally a baseline must be created. EcoNexus® creates this energy baseline. Identifying the financial leakages is critical and EcoNexus® does this so you know where to focus your efforts.
